Ramona & Ruth was named after my two grandmothers
Meet Grandma Ramona
An entrepreneur who hand-crafted beautiful floral designs in her very own floral shop.
I fondly remember her infectious laugh, and cozying up watching Golden Girls together.
Meet Grandma Ruth
Never afraid to get her hands dirty, she could be found tending to the dairy cows and wrangling chickens out on the farm in the small town of Hallam, Nebraska.
A sweet, poised woman, I will always remember her for her gentle spirit.
The fond memories I have with my grandmothers has inspired me to try and nurture this connectivity between others. It was in 2009 that I started Ramona & Ruth, an Omaha-based boutique letterpress studio, printing contemporary designs with timeless sentiment the old-fashioned way.
Letterpress is an art form and the details are what make it remarkable. Each sheet is fed into the press one at a time and printed one color at time. The initial sketch, hand-mixing the colors, the intricacies of typography and spacing, hand-feeding the vintage presses — from conception to fruition, each and every product is a beautiful journey.
At Ramona & Ruth, our mission is to create thoughtful, carefully designed paper goods to help spread kindness and foster connection.
Many of our products are printed in-house using two antique letterpress machines.
Meet The Presses
Golding Pearl Letterpress
Circa late 1800s
Pearl was the second press we acquired after our initial tabletop press. She can be found printing smaller, more custom runs such as business cards and wedding invitations.
Circa mid 1900s
Our Windmill is our workhorse. We use this press mainly for our greeting cards which are printed in larger runs. She can print around 2,000 prints per hour.
We are so happy you stopped by!
